VIRGINIA TECH SERVICES

At Virginia Tech Services (VTS), the overarching brand for all university affiliated bookstores, on-campus Clinique, and on-campus Starbucks, I was responsible for the creation of retail fliers, social media promotion, and marketing email designs. 

VTS design standards were considered to be very liberal. The design concepts were intended to invoke "Hokie Pride" and inspire the consumer to respond to the call to action. 

A VTS designer is encouraged to be creative with their work and is instructed to moreover create aesthetically pleasing designs. 

In addition to Virginia Tech Services' brand, the on-campus Clinique kiosk and Starbucks also relied on the VTS Marketing Department for their specific design needs. 

Although on-campus Starbucks's needs were suggested to mirror the VTS liberal design fundamentals, the on-campus Clinique typically required consistent branding. 

In order to follow traditional Clinique branding guidelines, it was imperative to use consistent  fonts as well as complimentary colors relating to the product being designed for.
